Vanity
“And when I have gone to the last city and preached my last sermon, and when I have offered my last prayer for the last sinner, when this old body of mine is worn and ready to crumble back to dust, and when my loved ones have gathered around my bed and the death gurgle is heard in my throat, when the old world is receding and heaven is opening a way, I stand in the presence of Him whom I have preached and loved and have not seen, I want the first one-thousand years to sit at His feet and say, ‘Thank You, Jesus, for saving me that dark and stormy day from a drunkard’s and a gambler’s hell.” E. Howard Cadle
Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it. "Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher, "All is vanity." Ecclesiastes 12:7-8
